EpicACT Links
Internal links (referred to as 'Activity Links' by Epic) can be used to add interactivity to Connect Care workflows. They allow users to jump from a trigger (text, title, icon, images, etc.) to different locations, related activities, or in-context information or data-entry within Hyperspace. A link could open a flowsheet in a pop-up window, a text editing task in a sidebar, a primed calculator and many other information flow facilitations. Most commonly, an internal link jumps to a specific activity or navigator within a patient's chart, as described elsewhere. Links can appear in many places, including SmartList label text to provide contextual guidance.
The following table (use the category tabs at the bottom) lists common internally linkable activity types together with typical parameters that control the link result. All EpicACT links have a common format.
